I have two degrees, one in anthropology and the other in folk studies. Needless to say, I'm not really working in my field. But that's all right--I'm working at home as an independent contractor specializing in editorial services in upstate New York, where I grew up.
I'm married with one little girl, and very happy about both.
I used to have some great pets, but my husband is super allergic so no go to anymore furries. I'm a military brat descended from the earliest Puritan colonials, Dutchmen, Germans, etc. in the Northeast, and while this certainly manifests itself in some predictable ways (neuroticism and Protestant leanings, mostly), most of the time I probably make my ancestors cringe. (Did I mention the anthropology and folk studies degrees?)
In late winter, my brothers and I like to slide down ice flows on old logging roads for fun. On our butts, in our pants. Snow pants are preferable, but we've been known to go down in our jeans. My mom has a great shot of us sliding while Annie is heroically leaping in the background; maybe I should post that some time. I'll have to take my kid ice sliding eventually too; then we'll actually have someone age-appropriate on the mountain, lol.
I'm sure you want to friend me now.
